In Formula One, the paddock is the closed working area behind the pit garages, where each team sets up its base for the race weekend. The Paddock Club is something different: it is the sport's top hospitality ticket, usually a venue above the garages, and it is the thing most people mean when they ask what a "paddock ticket" costs. There is no public price list. Formula 1's ticket shop sells it by pass or by quote, prices change from race to race, and the published figures for 2026 and 2027 run from about five thousand euros to more than sixteen thousand US dollars for three days. A Paddock Club ticket buys food, drink, a view and some organised access. It does not by itself make you an insider, and the sections below set out where that line falls.

The paddock and the Paddock Club are not the same place

The paddock is where the teams work. F1 Experiences, the sport's official hospitality seller, describes it as each team's "Grand Prix weekend home base" and "the exclusive 'backstage' area" of Formula One. Entry is controlled by pass, and the people walking through it are mostly team staff, officials, media and guests of the teams.

The Paddock Club is a hospitality product built next to that world. At Sepang, the F1 ticket shop described it as "overlooking the team garages and the iconic Sepang main straight". The circuit's own facilities page explains what that means physically: four air-conditioned halls on the upper level of the main pit building, with fully glazed side walls. The largest two cover 1,050 square metres each and seat up to 500 for a banquet. So a Paddock Club guest watches from a glass-walled hall above the garages, not from inside them.

What a Paddock Club ticket includes

F1 Experiences calls the Paddock Club "the pinnacle of F1 hospitality" and lists the core of a package: a viewing position over the key action, menus prepared by chefs, and open bars serving champagne, beer, wine and soft drinks each day. On top of that come daily Aramco pit lane walks, appearances by drivers, team executives or media personalities, and, depending on the race, a visit to the paddock itself.

For the Sepang race, the F1 ticket shop listed six headline benefits:

  • a view of every key moment, from the start to the chequered flag
  • Q&As with Formula One drivers and ambassadors
  • an Aramco pit lane walk while teams practise pit stops
  • a guided track tour on the circuit itself
  • menus that mix local flavours with global cuisine
  • live music, DJ sets and digital experiences off the track

Why it is less special than it sounds

The ticket is expensive, and the fine print matters. Miami's official Paddock Club page states that "access to the Formula 1 Paddock itself is not included unless otherwise specified with your experience", and that track tours have "limited availability and are not guaranteed". F1 Experiences adds that its inclusions are "sample inclusions" that can change depending on the Grand Prix, and that some extras, such as access to the podium celebration, come only with its Legend Ticket Packages. Driver contact is usually a scheduled talk in the hall rather than time with a team.

The view is also a trade-off. The Paddock Club sits on the main straight, so guests see the start, the pit stops and the finish well, but most of the lap happens out of sight and is followed on screens. A grandstand at a heavy braking zone can offer more racing for a fraction of the price. What the Paddock Club does offer is comfort: shade, air conditioning, seating and food included all weekend, which counts for a lot at a hot and humid circuit like Sepang.

How much a Paddock Club ticket costs

Formula 1 does not publish one price. The ticket shop asks buyers to select a pass or request a quote, and each race sets its own rates. Two published figures give the range. Miami's own 2027 page lists its Paddock Club experiences at three-day prices starting from US$13,500 for a private suite up to US$16,500 for its trackside club. For Sepang in 2026, F1Salaries reported that the F1 ticket shop was still showing a Friday to Sunday pass at EUR 5,632.31 in late September. That listing has since closed with the event, so the figure cannot be checked against the shop today.

The gap with an ordinary ticket is wide. Formula 1 announced on 15 August 2026 that three-day tickets at Sepang started at US$219 for general admission and US$350 for a grandstand, with the Main Grandstand at US$566. The Paddock Club figure reported above is more than ten times the Main Grandstand price.

The ticket ladder at Sepang in October 2026

The 2026 race at Sepang was the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, run from 2 to 4 October after the event moved from its original date and circuit. General tickets were sold through the Bahrain Grand Prix website, with separate rates for MyKad holders, and children aged three to six received a 25% discount. The prices below are the three-day rates published at launch.

The grandstand and hillstand figures come from SoyaCincau's report of 13 August 2026 and match the rounded prices in Formula 1's own announcement. One detail stood out on the F1 hospitality shop: the Sepang event page carried a single category, the Paddock Club, while other races, such as Qatar, also list a local hospitality option. Through Formula 1's own channel, the Paddock Club was the only hospitality option listed for Sepang in 2026.

Demand was not the problem. The Bahrain International Circuit reported a sold-out weekend with 261,000 spectators across the three days and 103,000 on race day, the largest crowd in the history of the Sepang circuit.

Sepang hospitality beyond Formula One

The same Paddock Club halls are used for other events. For the PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia, the MotoGP round at Sepang from 30 October to 1 November 2026, the circuit sells its own MotoGP VIP Village passes for Saturday and Sunday or Sunday only, as well as a Club Suite package. That race is part of the season that the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP team is contesting in BK8 News colours.

Where BK8 News fits in

The Sepang weekend was also the first race for BK8 News as a Global Partner of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. The team announced the deal on 1 October 2026 and the BK8 News name ran on the AMR26's rear wing end plate from that weekend, as set out in the Aston Martin Aramco partnership announcement. The team said the partnership would include initiatives to give fans "greater access to the team", but it has not published any Paddock Club or hospitality offer linked to BK8 News, and this page does not suggest one exists.

What comes next

No Formula One date at Sepang has been announced beyond 2026. The Bahrain International Circuit closed its post-race statement by looking forward to welcoming the sport back to Bahrain in March next year, and ticket sellers already list the 2027 Bahrain Grand Prix at Sakhir for 12 to 14 March. For anyone weighing a Paddock Club ticket at a future race, the practical advice is the same everywhere: ask for the full list of inclusions in writing, check whether paddock access is part of it, and compare the price with a well-placed grandstand seat before deciding.

Frequently asked questions

Is the F1 Paddock Club the same as the paddock?

No. The paddock is the restricted working area behind the pit garages where the teams are based for the weekend. The Paddock Club is a hospitality venue, usually above the garages. Some Paddock Club packages add a paddock visit, but Miami's official ticket page, for example, states that paddock access is not included unless the package says so.

How much is an F1 Paddock Club ticket?

Formula 1's ticket shop does not publish a fixed price list; it asks buyers to select a pass or request a quote, and prices vary by race. Miami's own 2027 page lists Paddock Club experiences from US$13,500 to US$16,500 for three days. For the 2026 race at Sepang, F1Salaries reported a Friday to Sunday pass at EUR 5,632.31 on the F1 ticket shop in late September.

What was included in the Paddock Club at Sepang in 2026?

The F1 ticket shop listed views over the team garages and the main straight, Q&As with drivers and ambassadors, an Aramco pit lane walk, a guided track tour, tailored menus mixing local and global food, and live music and DJ sets.

Was the Paddock Club the only hospitality option at the Sepang race?

On the F1 ticket shop, the Sepang event page carried only the Paddock Club category, while other races such as Qatar also list local hospitality. General admission and grandstand tickets were sold separately through the Bahrain Grand Prix website.

Will Formula One return to Sepang in 2027?

No Sepang date has been announced. The Bahrain International Circuit said after the race that it looks forward to welcoming the sport back to Bahrain in March 2027, and ticket sellers list the 2027 Bahrain Grand Prix at Sakhir for 12 to 14 March.
