BK8.io is the crypto casino from BK8, and two of the earliest deals in BK8's football portfolio were announced with Aston Villa and Burnley. Aston Villa named BK8 Principal and Front of Shirt Partner on 22 June 2023, in a deal announced to run to the end of the 2025/26 season but ended after one season when Betano took the shirt front from 2024/25, and Burnley named BK8 Official Training Wear Partner in August 2022, a partnership renewed in July 2023.
Background
Aston Villa's own announcement, dated 22 June 2023, and a fuller report from fcbusiness.co.uk both confirm BK8 as "Principal and Front of Shirt Partner" under a three-year agreement. Burnley's original deal was reported in August 2022 by casinoreviews.net and GamblingTV, both naming BK8 the club's Official Training Wear Partner for the 2022/23 season. The renewal followed in July 2023, reported by SportsMint Media and GamblersPost, for the following season. Both partnerships were reported independently by more than one outlet at the time, and neither report has since been retracted or corrected.
What the partnership covers
The Aston Villa deal put BK8 branding on the front of all three of the club's kits, a placement announced to run through the end of the 2025/26 season, although in practice it lasted the 2023/24 season only. It also includes a charity element: a portion of the proceeds from adult third-shirt sales goes to a Birmingham charity, alongside brand activations and advertising around Villa Park, with some of that advertising space set aside for charitable organisations across the season. The Burnley deal covers training wear branding for both the men's and women's squads, together with LED signage at Turf Moor and support for Burnley FC in the Community, the club's charitable arm. The renewal in July 2023 extended that same package into the following season rather than changing its terms. Burnley have played in both the Premier League and the Championship since the original 2022 deal was signed, so the training wear branding has appeared across two different divisions over the life of the partnership.
What it means
Both deals were announced with a defined term rather than an open-ended one: the Aston Villa partnership to the end of the 2025/26 season, and the Burnley partnership for a season at a time, most recently renewed in 2023. The Aston Villa term did not run its course: on 23 April 2024 the club named Betano as its front-of-shirt partner from the 2024/25 season, and SportsPro reported that Betano would replace BK8. No later report describes a renewal of either deal, so neither club's partnership is described here as continuing beyond the season its own announcement covers, and both are listed on this site as past partnerships.
The two deals also show two different shapes a football partnership can take: a front-of-shirt placement seen at every Aston Villa match, against a training wear and stadium-signage role that puts the Burnley branding in front of supporters at Turf Moor and in pre-match and training coverage rather than on the matchday shirt itself. Between them, the pairing gives BK8 visibility across a top-flight fixture list and a second club whose divisional level has moved between two competitions during the life of the deal. The wider football picture, including BK8's other Premier League, Championship and LaLiga partnerships, is set out in full on the football sponsorship page, and matches involving both clubs sit alongside other markets on the BK8.io sportsbook.
